A Message From the Chef

Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I introduce what has been a long time in the works.  The Better Way Gourmet gives me an opportunity to
explore my passions while providing quality products and services that will serve to help people – something I’ve always wanted to
be able to do.  After many years of cooking and web site development as well as many hours of painstaking effort and fervent prayer,
I feel as though I have finally reached what has always been meant to unfold.  While most diet systems force you to rely on the
system itself to decide what to eat and when, the Better Way System will teach you how to make the right decision on your own.  It’s
not a new system; it’s a new way of thinking.

In a time when people are more educated and aware of the health risks associated with obesity and being overweight, Americans
are fatter than we have ever been before.  Perhaps it’s because we’ve tried one fad diet too many and finally given up hope, or
maybe it’s the “seize the day”, “you only live once” mentality that our corrupt society instills and ingrains into the minds of our
population.  American culture is now associated with carefree gluttony not unlike that associated with the Romans of Christ’s day.
What’s worse is that we pass these values (or the lack there of) to our young who are not only accepted in their unhealthy ways, but
seemingly encouraged to continue down a path of empty despair.  There are health risks that come along with a life of poor diet and
lack of physical exercise – diabetes and hypertension along with the inability to fight disease and infection are just a few of the very
common results that accompany this type of abuse.  Although these symptoms are usually the result of an extended period of poor
habits, some more immediate daily effects include sleeplessness, sluggishness, depression, headaches and even common
colds.  Poor diets produce stressful conditions on our bodies that we are simply unable to adapt to.  It’s time we as Americans – as
humans -- wake up to realize it’s not alright and, to the generations that follow, it’s not fair.  Without the positive influence,
encouragement, and example set forth by our prominent leaders - presidents, pastors, celebrities, parents, teachers, law
enforcement officials, and others that comprise some of the most influential figures of impressionable minds, who then will set the
standard of values for the people of our land?  I too have experienced what unnecessary and excessive stress does to the body, to
our health, and our overall sense of well-being.  I thought, “There must be a better way.”  There is.

Whether it’s putting time back into your life by using our personal chef services or helping you make better decisions regarding the
eating habits of you and your family, it is my hope that this web site will serve as a reference aid for anyone who seeks a better way
of life.  I plan to provide the resources you need to make long-lasting and even permanent changes.

I am truly excited about what the future holds for you and your entire life after you make a conscious decision to make a change.  I
will always welcome suggestions and constructive criticism, and encourage you to keep us informed about your decisions,
progress, failures, and ideas about how to make the Better Way Gourmet better.  After all, this site is yours – built for you, by people
like you.  It is my belief that there are two ways to do anything – a right way and a wrong way, and the right way is always better.
There IS a better way, and there is no better time than now.  If you’re ready for a change, then you’ve come to the right place.  Let us
help guide you down the path of a better way of thinking, and a better way of life.

Tastefully yours,
Shane Frisco
